After Toto Cutugno won the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 in Yugoslavia with the song called Insieme: 1992 , Eurovision Song Contest 1991 took place in Rome, Italy . This was the second time Italy hosted the competition. Total of 22 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Carola from Sweden with the song called Fångad Av En Stormvind. The song gained total of 146 points. This was the third Eurovision Song Contest victory to Sweden.
