Ortal represented France with the song called Chacun Pense à Soi in Kiev 2005. The song went straight to the Grand Final as France is one of the biggest financial contributors of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Chacun Pense à Soi got the twenty-third place in the Grand Final.
