After Milk and Honey won the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 in Israel with the song called Hallelujah , Eurovision Song Contest 1980 took place in The Hague, The Netherlands . This was the fourth time The Netherlands hosted the competition. Total of 19 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Johnny Logan from Ireland with the song called What's Another Year. The song gained total of 143 points. This was the second Eurovision Song Contest victory to Ireland.
