The 65th Eurovision Song Contest (2021) took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, following the country’s win at the 2019 contest with the song Arcade by Duncan Laurence. The Netherlands was set to host the 2020 contest, before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Total of 39 countries participated in the contest, of which 26 re-entered with the same artist that was chosen for 2020. The first Semi-Final was held on May 18th and the second Semi-Final was held on May 20th. The winner was selected at the Grand Final on May 22nd. The winner of the competition was Måneskin from Italy with the song called Zitti E Buoni.. The song gained a total of 524 points. This was the third Eurovision Song Contest victory for Italy.
