After Alexander Rybak won the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Russia with the song called Fairytale , Eurovision Song Contest 2010 took place in Oslo, Norway . This was the third time Norway hosted the competition. Total of 39 countries participated. The first Semi-Final was held on May 25 and the second Semi-Final was held on May 27. The winner was selected on the Grand Final on May 29. The winner of the competition was Lena from Germany with the song called Satellite. The song gained total of 246 points. This was the second Eurovision Song Contest victory to Germany.
