After Gigliola Cinquetti won the Eurovision Song Contest 1964 in Denmark with the song called Non Ho L'étà , Eurovision Song Contest 1965 took place in Naples, Italy . This was the first time Italy hosted the competition. Total of 18 countries participated. The winner of the competition was France Gall from Luxembourg with the song called Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son. The song gained total of 32 points. This was the second Eurovision Song Contest victory to Luxembourg.
