After Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in United Kingdom with the song called Tattoo , Eurovision Song Contest 2024 took place in Malmö, Sweden . This was the seventh time Sweden hosted the competition. Total of 37 countries participated. The first Semi-Final was held on May 7 and the second Semi-Final was held on May 9. The winner was selected on the Grand Final on May 11. The winner of the competition was Nemo from Switzerland with the song called The Code. The song gained total of 591 points. This was the third Eurovision Song Contest victory to Switzerland.
