After Brotherhood of Man won the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 in The Netherlands with the song called Save Your Kisses For Me , Eurovision Song Contest 1977 took place in London, United Kingdom . This was the sixth time United Kingdom hosted the competition. Total of 18 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Marie Myriam from France with the song called L'oiseau Et L'enfant. The song gained total of 136 points. This was the fifth Eurovision Song Contest victory to France.
