After Isabelle Aubret won the Eurovision Song Contest 1962 in Luxembourg with the song called Un Premier Amour , Eurovision Song Contest 1963 took place in London, United Kingdom . This was the second time United Kingdom hosted the competition. Total of 16 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann from Denmark with the song called Dansevise. The song gained total of 42 points. This was the first Eurovision Song Contest victory to Denmark.
