After Corry Brokken won the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 in Germany with the song called Net Als Toen , Eurovision Song Contest 1958 took place in Hilversum, The Netherlands . This was the first time The Netherlands hosted the competition. Total of 10 countries participated. The winner of the competition was André Claveau from France with the song called Dors Mon Amour. The song gained total of 27 points. This was the first Eurovision Song Contest victory to France.
