After Niamh Kavanagh won the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Ireland with the song called In Your Eyes , Eurovision Song Contest 1994 took place in Dublin, Ireland . This was the fifth time Ireland hosted the competition. Total of 25 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan from Ireland with the song called Rock 'n' Roll Kids. The song gained total of 226 points. This was the sixth Eurovision Song Contest victory to Ireland.
