After Johnny Logan won the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 in The Netherlands with the song called What's Another Year , Eurovision Song Contest 1981 took place in Dublin, Ireland . This was the second time Ireland hosted the competition. Total of 20 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Bucks Fizz from United Kingdom with the song called Making Your Mind Up. The song gained total of 136 points. This was the fourth Eurovision Song Contest victory to United Kingdom.
