After Dana won the Eurovision Song Contest 1970 in The Netherlands with the song called All Kinds Of Everything , Eurovision Song Contest 1971 took place in Dublin, Ireland . This was the first time Ireland hosted the competition. Total of 18 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Séverine from Monaco with the song called Un Banc, Un Arbre, Une Rue. The song gained total of 129 points. This was the first Eurovision Song Contest victory to Monaco.
