After Bobbysocks won the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in Sweden with the song called La Det Swinge , Eurovision Song Contest 1986 took place in Bergen, Norway . This was the first time Norway hosted the competition. Total of 20 countries participated. The winner of the competition was Sandra Kim from Belgium with the song called J'aime La Vie. The song gained total of 176 points. This was the first Eurovision Song Contest victory to Belgium.
